BPlanet: hygiene paper made from bamboo fibres and durable everyday products.
BPlanet (BPlanet GmbH, Osttangente 1, 73054 Eislingen/Fils, Germany) offers hygiene paper made from bamboo fibres and durable everyday products made of stainless steel, glass and bamboo, and we disclose their materials.
Social engagement is also important to us. That's why we have partnered with organisations that work on concrete projects. When BPlanet started, we chose three projects. But one thing at a time...
Let's take a look at our oceans: plastic waste is one of the biggest burdens there. That's why we support projects collecting plastic waste on coastlines, organised through the CleanHub platform.
Let's take a look at drinking water supply. In Germany, clean drinking water is taken for granted – in some parts of the world it is not. A supply of drinking water is immensely important, especially for children and their development. That's why we support "Brunnen für Afrika" (wells for Africa), a project that builds wells for water supply in Benin and Tanzania (and previously also in Ethiopia, Togo and Sudan).
Let's take a look at our forests. Large areas of forest are lost worldwide every year (source: WWF). That's why we use bamboo fibres instead of wood fibres for our toilet paper and support I Plant a Tree, which plants near-natural forests in Germany.
Our first product was Happy Poop: a toilet paper made from 100% bamboo fibres, unbleached and packed in recycled paper.
Our bamboo toilet paper comes from China. We are open about where and how our toilet paper is made. Only if the right bamboo species could be grown in Europe in large quantities could transport routes become shorter.
Transport from China is a disadvantage that we openly acknowledge. The bamboo is cultivated in China and creates jobs there. The packaging is printed with soy-based ink.
Happy Poop is soft and tear-resistant. Happy Poop makes a happy bum.
Our packaging is special too:
The packaging of our toilet paper is made of recycled paper and features designs by artists. We change our packaging designs regularly and are always open to new designs. That way Happy Poop never gets boring. That's why we are constantly looking for new artists. We turn your toilet into an art gallery – packed without plastic.

We also have toilet paper without individual wrapping.
